Church Family,
As we walk through this season of transition with Andy retiring as our Senior Pastor, I wanted to take a moment to speak directly to our church family.
Transitions can bring a lot of different emotions. There can be excitement about what God is going to do next, but there can also be uncertainty. And one thing I never want anyone in our church to feel during this season is that you aren’t being heard, cared for, or that your spiritual or physical needs somehow matter less because we don’t currently have a Senior Pastor in place. I want you to know that I’m here for you, and I know Pastor Joe is too.
There are also many men throughout our church who are stepping up and willing to serve, love people, pray with people, and simply be the hands and feet of Jesus. In so many ways, nothing about who we are as a church has changed. Our model is still the same: Christ First. And we’re a family. That is who we have been, and that is who we want to continue to be moving forward.
If you need prayer, someone to talk to, someone to visit you, help with a physical need, or you simply need someone to listen, please reach out. You are not bothering us. That is part of what it means to be the church and to belong to a church family. If you need me personally, I’m only a phone call or text away at 570-687-5475.
            Joe will also be helping lead us through this season by handling the pulpit and bringing in many great guest speakers. We’re excited about the men who will be sharing God’s Word with us, and we’re especially thankful for the men within our own church who are willing to step up and preach when needed.
            This is a season of transition, but I also believe it can be a tremendous season of growth. As Jon Beight challenged us this past week, this is an opportunity for each of us to grow deeper in Christ—not only as a church collectively, but individually and in our relationships with one another.
            So whatever this season brings, I want our church family to know this:
You are loved.
You are heard.
You are not alone.
And you still have people here who want to walk beside you, pray with you, guide you, encourage you, and serve you.

Jesus Christ is still the head of this church.
We’re still putting Christ first.
And we’re still a family.
We love you, church.

Ryan Sowers is the Founder/CEO of Marilyn's Village. He has five children (Sarah, Javy, Marin, Allie, & Tyler) and his wife of 19+ years is in her 20th year as a teacher at Covington Schools. Ryan was the pastor of Wallace Christian Church for nearly 10 years and stepped down from that position in 2022.
